A lawyer of Singapore (fl. c. 1897-1905) with an interest in orchids (cf. Burkill in Gard. Bull. Str. Settlem. 4, 1927, nos 4-5).

Hort. Sing.: orchids, from P. Tioman, Johore, etc., Malay Peninsula. In his own garden he cultivated Borneo orchids too (cf. Ridley in Journ. Linn. Soc. Bot. 31, 1896, p. 279).
