career:

A farmer of the Childers District in Queensland, was commissioned by the Bureau of Sugar Experiment Station at Brisbane, to visit SE. New Guinea for a sugar-cane collecting trip, making Sogeri his point of departure.

 

Collecting localities:1

1912. Left Brisbane (Sept. 2); from Sogeri to the Laloki River, Kemp Welch River and Rigo; leaving Papua in Nov.

 

collections:

Varieties of sugar-cane. Only few material will have been dried, if any. Collector of a living specimen of Eulophia papuana Bail. (cf. description in Queensl. Agric. Journ. N.S. 2, 1914, p. 75, pl. 38) in E. New Guinea. The plant was sent to the Brisb. Bot. Garden; dried material certainly in Herb. Brisbane [BRI].
