Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

Steenis Malesia

finds documents containing 'Steenis' or 'Malesia'

Steenis or Malesia

same as above

Steenis and Malesia

finds documents containing both 'Steenis' and 'Malesia'

Steenis not Nothofagus

finds documents containing 'Steenis' but not 'Nothofagus'

(Steenis not Nothofagus) and Malesia

finds documents containing 'Malesia', plus 'Steenis' but not 'Nothofagus'

system*

finds documents containing words starting with 'system'
