The Southeast Asian species of moraceae except Ficus
The Family Moraceae comprises 14 genera indigenous in Malesia. Of the total of between 1070 and 1100 species 60 non-Ficus species occur in Malesia.
The introductory pages, 18 in total, give general information on, e.g., ecology, anatomy, field characters, morphology, wood anatomy, inflorescences, pollen morphology, pollination, dispersal, uses. Keys to the tribes, genera, and species are given. For easy identification a digital key with many illustrations is added in the LUCID – PHOENIX program.
This volume of Flora Malesiana, written by world authorities on the systematics of Moraceae, is the only comprehensive treatment of this important rainforest family in Southeast Asia.[Top of this page] [Catalogue of publications] [NHN]
