A revised key to the species of Mycena section Fragilipedes of the Northern Hemisphere

 Giovanni Robich. Persoonia 19(1): 1-43. 2006.

A revision of the keys to the species of Mycena (Pers.) Roussel section Fragilipedes of the Northern Hemisphere as published by Maas Geesteranus (1988a) is presented here. New taxa published between 1988 and 2003 are included, as well as some species transferred from other sections of Mycena and from the genus Hydropus. 90 taxa (87 species and 3 varieties) are included in this new key and the taxa excluded from sect. Fragilipedes are also mentioned. In addition to the key, 6 tables are introduced, illustrating some microscopic characters.

Studies on the genus Entoloma (Basidiomycetes, Agaricales) in Kerala State, India

 P. Manimohan, M.E. Noordeloos & A.M. Dhanya. Persoonia 19(1): 45-93. 2006.

Fifteen new taxa are described from Kerala State, India, based on collections made by the first author. Three taxa fit subgenus Pouzarella (E. testaceostrigosum, E. violaceovillosum, and E. dysthales var. keralense). Four species are described as having cuboid spores (E. albidoquadratum, E. brunneoquadratum, E. keralense, and E. perinfundibuliforme). Entoloma indoviolaceum is a typical Leptonia, close to E. tjallingiorum from Europe. Two species belong to sect. Cyanula: E. calliviolaceum and E. griseoviolascens. The velutinous pileus of E. griseolazulinum is representative for sect. Calliderma. Rather enigmatic is E. allocybesimilis with affinities to E. excentricum in subgenus Allocybe, and E. perflavidum and E. tectonicola probably must be placed in the mainly tropical subgenus Inocephalus. Finally, E. pruinosocutis represents a new Alboleptonia. A new name, Entoloma indocarneum, is introduced for E. carneum Manim., Leelav. & Noordel. A key and checklist are presented to all species known so far from Kerala State.

Hygrocybe in Kerala State, India

 K.M. Leelavathy, P. Manimohan & E.J.M. Arnolds. Persoonia 19(1): 101-151. 2006.

Twenty-five species of Hygrocybe are described, illustrated and discussed, including 10 new species, namely H. globispora, H. keralensis, H. gregaria, H. griseoalbida, H. corallina, H. lobatospora, H. brunneosquamulosa, H. aurantiocephala, H. smaragdina and H. aurantioalba. Two new varieties are proposed, viz. H. nivosa var. pallidolutea and H. apala var. indica. The new combination Hygrocybe deceptiva is proposed. A key is provided for all described taxa.
