Description
Sub-canopy tree up to 24 m tall and 26 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves
alternate, simple, penni-veined, usually large and quite hairy. Flowers with ca.
23 cm long petals, green-white-yellowish, placed solitary or in few flowered
bundles. Fruitlets ca. 25 mm long, green with brownish hairs, placed in apocarp, each
fruitlet with several seeds.
Ecology
Undisturbed forests up to 1350 m altitude. Quite often found on or near
limestone areas. Usually on hillsides and ridges. In secondary forests usually
present as a pre-disturbance remnant.

Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, West- and East-Kalimantan).
