Description
Sub-canopy tree up to 24 m tall and 35 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves
alternate, simple, penni-veined, with nicely upwardly curved secondary veins.
Flowers with ca. 19 mm long petals, green-white-yellowish, placed axillary.
Fruitlets ca. 35 mm long, olive green, hairy, placed in apocarp, fruitlets
several seeded.
Ecology
Undisturbed forests up to 1000 m altitude, but usually much lower. Mostly on
hillsides and ridges. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance
remnant.
Distribution
Indo-china, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo and the
Philippines.
