Description
Upper canopy tree up to 48 m tall and 90 cm dbh. Stem with resin. Stipules
up to ca. 2 mm long. Leaves alternate, simple, penni-veined, with inconspicuous
secondary veins placed close together. Flowers ca. 3 mm in diameter,
white-yellow, placed in small panicles. Fruits ca. 10 mm long, red-green, with
two ca. 50 mm long wings.
Ecology
Mostly in undisturbed keranga forests and freshwater swamps up to 500 m
altitude Usually on poor (white) sand soils. In secondary forests usually
present as a pre-disturbance remnant tree.
Uses
The timber is used.

Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, East-Kalimantan).
