Description
Understorey tree up to 14 m tall and 16 cm dbh. Stipules small. Leaves
alternate, simple, penni-veined, glabrous. Flowers ca. 3 mm diameter,
green-yellowish, placed in axillary bundles. Fruits ca. 5 mm long,
white-pinkish-red, dehiscent capsules.
Ecology
In disturbed forests, including keranga and sub-montane forests up to 1700 m
altitude. Often along roadsides and scrub vegetations with sandy to clay soils.
Uses
Locally used as firewood.

Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Borneo
(Sarawak, Sabah, East-Kalimantan), Celebes, New Guinea.
