Description
Mid-canopy tree up to 36 m tall and 66 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves
alternate, simple, penni-veined, glabrous. Flowers ca. 3 mm diameter,
green-yellowish, placed in racemes. Fruits ca. 21 mm diameter, greenish-white,
fleshy drupes.
Ecology
In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp forests up to 800 m altitude. On hillsides
and ridges with sandy to clay soils. In secondary forests usually present as a
pre-disturbance remnant.
Uses
The timber is used for house construction. The bark is used medicinally. The
seeds are edible.

Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo (throughout the island).
