Description
Sub-canopy tree up to 25 m tall and 46 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves
alternate, simple, penni-veined, with nectary glands on lower surface near
petiole insertion, glabrous. Flowers ca. 13 mm diameter, white-yellowish,
racemes to panicles. Fruits ca. 12 mm long, green-yellowish, drupes.
Ecology
In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp and sub-montane forests up to 1600 m
altitude. On alluvial sites near rivers and streams and hillsides, sometimes on
ridges as well. Usually on sandy soils, but also on clay and limestone. In
secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant.
Uses
The wood is locally used. The leaves are locally used as vegetable. The
fruits are edible.

(throughout the island), Philippines.
