Latin for 'winged feet', referring to the winged petioles.

Description
Mid-canopy tree up to 32 m tall and 64 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves opposite, compound (3-5-foliate), leaflets penni-veined, glabrous. Flowers ca. 5 mm diameter, white-pink-blue, placed in panicles. Fruits ca. 39 mm diameter, green-yellow(-purple?), drupes.

Ecology
In undisturbed to slightly disturbed (open sites) mixed dipterocarp, keranga and swamp forests up to 800 m altitude. Often on alluvial sites and near or along rivers and streams, but also on hillsides and ridges. On clay and limestone soils. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant.

Distribution
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, Central- and East-Kalimantan), Philippines.
