Born: 1900, Sandakan, Br. N. Borneo.

 

career:

Graduated in Kepong Forest School in 1936. Collected together with F. Melegrito; both of them Filipino Rangers in the employ of the Br. N. Borneo Forest Department (see sub For. Dept etc.). Retired at the end of March 1953 after 34 years of service with the Department.

Pandanus castroi was named after him.

 

Collecting localities:

1920. Br. N. Borneo.-Before 1926 in Banguey and Balambangan Isl., both of which situated N of Borneo. In various parts of N. Borneo.
