career:

Got his horticultural practice in the Botanic Gardens at Utrecht and Kew; he went to the D.E.I. where he was appointed temporary teacher at the School of Agriculture at Buitenzorg and subsequently in 1912 Curator of the Botanic Gardens. At the end of 1918 he went on furlough and after that year he was mentioned no more in the reports of that institution. Cousin of Prof. Koningsberger.
