Living plants from Celebes and New Guinea to Hort. Bog.

During the unsettled state of affairs at Buitenzorg, after the capitulation, Celebes material got lost (it was not yet mounted and Indonesians took it away because of the wrappers) ; at present it is not yet known whether all the material has disappeared, nor whether the other collections are all intact. Early in 1950 Dr van Steenis could put on record that the damage done to the Celebes material was less than expected.
