Zoologist who was educated and took his Dr’s degree (1926) at Utrecht University; teacher at secondary schools, 1923-26, successively at Woerden and Rotterdam; Entomologist of the Experiment Station for the Java Sugar Industry at Pasoeroean (E. Java), 1926-31; subsequently appointed Professor of Zoology in the University of Groningen, Holland.
