Born: 1869.

career:

German forest officer, educated at Cornell University (U.S.A.); in the employ of the Forestry Bureau, Manila, P.I., 1902-18; in 1916 for some months acting Director of the same Institute.

Dysoxylum klemmei Merr. and other Philippine plants were named after him.
