B.S.A., M.Sc. Botany, University of the Philippines. Instructor in Botany, College of Agriculture, University of the Philippines, and later a fellow at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. Later Professor in Botany.

From about 1953 onwards. Luzon: Mt Makiling, Laguna Prov.; Baguio City, Bontoc, Banawe, Mt Polis, Mt Data, Mountain Prov.; Mindanao: Compostela and Mt Apo, Davao Prov. - Collecting tour (Oct. 17, 1964-Jan. 23, 1965) in Luzon: Mt Sto Thomas and vicinity, Mountain Prov.; Mt Makiling and Mt Banahao, Laguna; Atimonan, Quezon; Taal Volcano, Batangas; Mt Isarog, Camarines Sur; Mayon Volcano, Albay; Bulusan Lake, Sorsogon; in Negros, NW. part; in Mindanao: Davao, Marawi, Lanao del Sur; in Basilan and Palawan (Puerto Princesa).

Add: He accompanied the Dutch wasp specialist J.T. Wiebes, for whom he collected Ficus plants (43 spp.) and a few others, numbered in Panchoís series, 4161-4271. The plants were sent to Corner, Herb. Cambridge [CGE].
