career:

A local Eurasian, collector and dealer in plants and animals, at Sin­gapore. He frequently came to the Botanic Gardens for naming and sale.

 

Collecting localities:

He visited also Lower Siam [= Thailand], besides the Tambelan Islands (W of Borneo) (before 1895), New Guinea, and the Tanimbar Islands (about 1896).

 

collections:

Herb. Sing. [SING]: a small series of plants from New Guinea and Tanimbar (pres. 1896). He sent living plants to Hort. Sing. in the years 1895-1909.
