Born: 1870, Gombong, Java. Died: 21 Sep. 1962, The Hague, Holland.

 

career:

Officer of the Infantry, who joined the D.E. Indian Army in 1893; in former years Military Commander of Ceram,1 later captain of the General Staff, was stationed for a second time in Ceram in the years 1915-20, in charge of the surveying and mapping of the island with the assistance of some Indonesian scouts of the Topographical Service.2 He was pensioned off with the rank of major-general in 1927.
