Born: 1899, Aarau, Switzerland.

career:

Agriculturist, educated at Zürich University, where he took his Ph. Dr’s degree in 1935. After attending the course of the Sugar School at Amsterdam, he came to Java as Group-Adviser in the employ of the Experiment Station for the Java Sugar Industry, and was successively stationed at Banjoemas (1925-28), and Djombang (1928-32). Since 1937 in the employ of the Potassium Syndicate in Europe.
