Walangitang, Lucas Thomas

Born: 1887, Tondano, Celebes.

 

career:

Joined the D.E. Indian Forest Service in 1909, and was stationed in Java till 1920. In August of the latter year he was transferred to Celebes, and stationed respectively at Mala-Mala (SW. Celebes), at Raha in Moena (since March 1924), in Boetoeng and Laiwoei (SE. Celebes) (since Dec. 1924), and at Manado (N. Celebes) since Jan. 1928; in Sept. 1930 transferred to Mataram in Lombok (Lesser Sunda Isls), and since Oct. 1932 serving once more in Java. He retired in 1933.

 

Collecting localities:

SW. Celebes: G. Bonthain (Jan. 1922); Salajar Subdivision and P. Djampea (1922); G. Bonthain (1923); Boeton (= Boetoeng) (1924); SE. Celebes: Kendari (1925); N. Celebes: Minahassa, and Bolaäng Mongondow1 (1928-30); Lombok (1931).
