Born: 1892, Salatiga, Java. Died: 1924.

 

career:

Since 1911 in the employ of the D.E. Indian Forest Service, finally ‘boscharchitect’. At first stationed in Pekalongan-Kendal, Central Java, since 1912 at the disposal of the Director of the Forest Research Institute, Buitenzorg.

 

Collecting localities:

E. Java: N. Soerabaja (Apr. 1918); W. Java: Buitenzorg (Sept. 1918); Centr. Java: Margasari, with Wolff von Wülfing (see there) (Oct. 1919); Kradenan, Blora.

Herb. Bog. [BO]: mainly plants from teak forests, collected on behalf of J.G.B. Beumée (see there), and numbered in the latter’s series.
