The date of collecting leads one to suppose the collector may be one of the members of the ‘Gazelle’ Expedition (cf. sub Naumann). In all probability he is identical with Zeye (see there).

Collecting localities:

Is cited as the collector of some plants in Timor, viz at Koepang near Babaoe, (cf. van Oooststroom in Blumea 3, 1939, p. 272) in May 1875, and without precise locality by Kükenthal (cf. Pflanzenreich 101, 1936, p. 60).
