Born: 1864, Buitenzorg, Java. Died: 1923, Mr Cornelis, Java.

career:

Joined the D.E. Indian Civil Service in 1891; in 1900 District Officer at Semangka, Lampong Districts, S. Sumatra; Secretary of the Civil Service in Djambi, Centr. Sumatra, 1907-08; in 1909 appointed Assistant Resident of Boni (Pampanoea), SW. Celebes; in 1913 Resident of Palembang, S. Sumatra; he retired in 1920.

Herb. Bog. [BO]: orchids from the Lampong Districts (S. Sumatra), and from SW. Celebes; palms for K. Heyne in Billiton (the latter were sent for identification to Beccari in July 1914).
