Came to the D.E.I. in 1897; at first a planter; since 1912 appointed Administrator of the Civil Service respectively stationed in Atjeh and Dependencies 1912-16, in Bali and Lombok Residency 1916-17, and since 1917 in Borneo's Western Division.

Collecting localities:

Discoverer of Rafffesia atjehensis Koord. near the Djerneh River in Atjeh (1915-1916) and of Rafflesia sp. in the subdivision Serbodjadi. Photograph only.¹
