Born: 1779, Amsterdam, Holland. Died: 1834.

 

career:

Joined the D.E.I. Civil Service in 1815; in 1820 appointed Resident in Banda (Moluccas), in 1821 at Bandjermasin (SE. Borneo), in 1823 at Cheribon (W. Java); since 1827 Director-General of Finance. The then Acting Resident of Cheribon.

 

Collecting localities:

Collected Rafflesia patina in the island Noesa Kambangan (S of Centr. Java) in 1824. The material, consisting of desiccated buds, was handed to Blume, when the latter visited Cheribon in the same year.1
