Born: 1880, Malone, New York, U.S.A. Died: about May 11, 1908, Negros, P.I.

 

career:

Forest Officer, since 1905 in the employ of the Bureau of Forestry, Manila.

He made extensive collections in Negros, in which island he was murdered by the natives.

Ficus everettii Elmer, Lasianthus everettii Merr., etc., were named after him.
