Born: 1900, Wageningen, Gld, Holland.

 

career:

Was educated at Wageningen Agricultural College; since 1926 Forest Officer in D.E. Indian Government service, at first stationed in the teak districts in Java, in 1928 at Tjilatjap (Centr. Java); in 1929 transferred to Buitenzorg, where since 1931 in charge of forest-hydrological research, starting experiments on G. Patoeha; from 1936-42 in charge of the forest administration of the Lesser Sunda Islands, stationed at Singaradja (Bali); at present at Buitenzorg, Head of the Bureau of Land Utilization.

Author of some papers, mainly relating to forest-hydrology, and of some typed reports on the Lesser Sunda Islands 1937-38.
