Born: 1905, Middelburg, Z., Holland.

Died: June 24, 1944, drowned on a Japanese transport of P.O.W.’s o/b s.s. van Haerwijk.

 

career:

Was educated at the Agricultural College, Wageningen, terminating his studies in 1930. Subsequently he went to Java, where he was appointed on the staff of the General Agricultural Experiment Station at Buitenzorg. Since 1939 Chief of the Agricultural Subdivision of the Agricultural Institute of that Station.

W. Java: dessa Ragoenan, Mr Cornelis Distr. (Sept. 1934); experiment garden at Moeara near Buitenzorg (Apr. 1935); experiment field in Bantam (Apr. 1936); experiment fields, e.g. at Ragoenan (March 1937); Centr. Java: experiment field dessa Modjopoera, Woerjantora Distr., Wonogiri Regency (Dec. 1938).
