Born: 1898, Diamond Creek, Australia.

 

career:

Educated in the University of Melbourne (D.Sc.); Botanist and Plant Pathologist W.A. 1918-21; 1921-24 Professor of Plant Physiology, University of the Philippines; from 1924 at Brisbane University, successively as Lecturer, Associate Professor of Botany (since Dec. 1946), and Professor of Botany.
