Born: 1900, Ternate, Moluccas.

 

career:

‘Boscharchitect’ who entered the D.E. Indian Forest Service in 1917; at first stationed in Centr. and W. Java (Krawang-Indramajoe); since March 1922 attached to the Forest Research Institute at Buitenzorg. Retired in Sept. 1954 and went to Holland. After the war he published numerous tree lists of various islands and districts of Indonesia, mimeographed by the Forest Research Station at Bogor.

In general, small collections; the Patoeha collection consists of the nos 1-90, 151-347, the labels bearing letters (H, O, E, F, or G) corresponding with the altitude at which was collected, viz respectively 1600, 1600-2200, 1760, 1970 and 2200 m; from Soekaboemi (1935) 103 nos; from Centr. Java (1935) 90 nos; from E. Java (1937) nos 1-189.
