Born: 1834, Twelloo near Deventer, O., Holland. Died: Aug. 29, 1905, Sinagar, Priangan Res., Java.

career:

Studied philosophy at Leiden, but did not finish his study; he went to the D.E.I. in 1861 and after a stay of 5 months in Billiton, was placed on Parakan Salak Estate in W. Java; since 1863 Estate-Manager at Sinagar, afterwards Director.

collections:

In the years 1874, 1875 and 1877 he sent, probably living, plants to Hort. Bog.
