Born: 1880, The Hague, Holland.



School-teacher who came to the D.E.I. towards the end of 1908; temporary teacher in Natural History at the K.W. III school at Batavia, 1909-13; since 1914 transferred to the Department of Agriculture, at first teacher at the School of Agriculture at Buitenzorg, and at the end of the year Agricultural Officer in Benkoelen (Sumatra); then successively at Bondowoso, Bandoeng, Soekaboemi (since 1922 with the title of Consulting Agriculturist), Buitenzorg, Palembang (S. Sumatra, 1926-27); subsequently retired.

1913. W. Java: G. Poetri (May), S. slope G. Goentoer (15), Garoet (20), Kawah Manoek (23), Telagabodas (27), G. Goentoer (30); near Tjisoeroepan and G. Papandajan (June 8-10); G. Kendeng-1915. S. Sumatra, Benkoelen (about March): Kroë, Negara Batin; Soekau; Ranau Lake; Kenali, slope G. Pesagi; Liwa; Kroë.1-1916. Centr. Java (probably not collected): hills near Progo (Oct. 26); Zuidergebergte (hills near the south coast) near Kretek (28).2
