career:

Since 1903 Forest Officer in the employ of the D.E.I. Forest Service, stationed successively in the districts Soerabaja-Pasoeroean and S. Soerabaja; since 1913 in the teak districts of Central Java; in 1915 transferred to SE. Borneo (Bandjermasin), and since 1922 in Java again; he retired in 1932.
