career:

Was for some years in the employ of the Dutch-American Life-insurance Company, The Hague; from 1920-34 in the service of the Experiment Station for the Java Sugar Industry at Pasoeroean (E. Java), successively as bookkeeper, Librarian and Assistant Secretary; from 1935 editor of the ‘Soerabaiaasch Handelsblad’. Since end 1947 Librarian of the Buitenzorg Library.
