Born: 1908, Djokjakarta, Java. Died: June 26, 1944, during a Japanese transport of P.O.W.’s o/b the ‘van Waerwijck’ in Malacca Straits.

career:

Was educated at Wageningen Agricultural College, taking his Dr’s degree in 1937 (working for his thesis at Leiden); since Fehr. 1938 Agriculturist on the staff of the A.V.R.O.S. Experiment Station, Medan, Sumatra.
