Voyage in the ‘Circe’, 1849-50.1 Ambon (Dec. 3-15, 1849); Ceram: Wahai (Dec. 28, 1849-Febr. 13, 1850); Ternate (Febr. 25-March 16); Gebi (= P. Gebe) (March 19-25); through Dampier Strait to NW. New Guinea: Dorei (Apr. 1-24); Run (= ? P. Roön) (May 27-31); P. Japen: Ansoes (June 6-8); P. Koeroedoe, and failing attempt to reach Bougainville Bay; return (June 12-21) via the Schouten Islands and Dorei; Ambon (July 15); back at Soerabaja in E. Java (25).

de Bruyn Kops in his cited paper,1 mentions Schneider in search of flowers on one of the islands. In the same publication he says that he has Schneider to thank for the zoological, mineralogical, and botanical data. We do not know whether any herbarium specimens exist.
