Governor of Labuan who, when the Swedish expedition of the ‘Vega’ (cf. sub Almquist) in 1879 paid a short visit to that island, offered hospitality to its leader Baron Nordenskiöld. After the latter’s return in Europe, Treacher sent him a collection of leaves and fruit of the kinds of trees which at the time grew in the island,1 for comparison with fossil material.

It is not mentioned whether the above-mentioned collection was made by Treacher himself. 318 Sheets of phanerogams from Labuan in Herb. State Mus. Stockholm [S]; identified by Dr E.D. Merrill.
