Born: 1895, Kota Radja, Atjeh, Sumatra. Died: 1963, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

 

career:

Zoologist, educated at Amsterdam University where she took her Ph.Dr’s degree in 1922. For some time temporary teacher at a secondary school at Bandoeng, W. Java; from 1926- 27 Assistant of the Zoological Museum at Buitenzorg. In 1928 she returned to Europe and was appointed First Assistant (since 1933 Custodian) in the Zoological Laboratory at Amsterdam. Limnologist. 

Authoress of several zoological papers relating to her stay in Java, mainly published in ‘Treubia’ and ‘De Tropische Natuur’.

Herb. Bog. [BO]: material from Rawah Bening (coll. Sept. 20, 1927), in Kediri Res., E. Java. The collections in Rawah Bening were made with Dr J.H. Coert (see there). On the labels her name is misspelled Forstman.
