Born: 1870, Martapoera, Borneo. Died: 1951, Amsterdam, Holland.

 

career:

Brother of the former, went with his parents to Holland in 1874; since 1891 plantation assistant, and from 1897 onwards Estate-Manager, Superintendent, and Director of various plantation companies, etc. in the D.E.I. In connexion with his work he made several exploration tours in Priangan Residency and Sumatra. Before the outbreak of the Pacific war he settled at Soekamenak, Pengalengan (Priangan, W. Java); in 1946 he was evacuated to Holland.

W. Java: some plants (before 1907) (cf. Bull. Dép. Agric. Ind. néerl. 13, 1907, p. 68); Mandalagiri (Aug. 30, 1915), Pamegatan near Garoet (1916).
