Born: 1906, Amsterdam, Holland.

career:

Botanist, educated at Utrecht University, where he took his Ph. Dr’s degree in 1932. From 1934-46 on the staff of the Deli Experiment Station (Medan Sumatra East Coast), subsequently Head of the Agricultural Service of the Deli-Batavia Company; after his evacuation to Holland, he returned to Medan in 1947.

Collecting localities:

Sumatra East Coast (Sept. 27, 1934); also towards the end of 1934, or early in 1935.

Herb. Bog. [BO]: 1 specim. of Exacum tetragonum Roxb. and some ferns; Herb. Deli Exp. Stat.: few numbers.
