Zon, Pieter van

Born: 1882, Schiedam, Holland.

 

career:

Forest Officer who joined the D.E.I. Forest Service in 1909; originally stationed in the Java teak districts, in July 1912 transferred to Medan (Sumatra East Coast), and since Aug. 1916 in Java again. In 1927 he was appointed Inspector, in 1928 Adviser of the Service of the Forests of the Outer Provinces; retired 1933.

Author of some sylvicultural papers.1

c. 1914. N. Sunatra: Atjeh, Takengon.-1914-15. Sumatra East Coast: Toba, Simeloengan, Karo Lands, Bengkalis and Siak.
