Extra Assistant Conservator in the Forest Department Str. Settlements from 1903-24, stationed in Malacca until Oct. 1909, in Penang 1910-June 1913, and subsequently in Prov. Wellesley and the Dindings. He collected in the Malay Peninsula, in Perak etc. (cf. Burkill in Gard. Bull. Str. Settlem. 4, 1927, nos 4-5).
