Born: 1899, Kollumerzwaag, Fr., Holland.

 

career:

School-teacher, from 1927 in the D.E.I., in 1928 stationed at Keboemen, in 1933 at Gombong (Banjoemas), both in Centr. Java; he will shortly retire.

He has an interest in the Javan flora, and is the author of a popular booklet.1

 

Collecting localities:

Centr. Java: many times on the Diëng Plateau and near Wonosobo (betw. 1929-37); Djokja, Kali Oerang (June 18, 1931); Karangbolong (1934); in 1935 in Banjoemas, Kedoe, Sempor, Kedjadjar, Gombong; in 1936 at Sempor, Gombong and on G. Watoebaroet, Tawangmangoe and G. Lawoe (on the boundary betw. Centr. & E. Java (e.g. at Tjemara Sewoe in July); N. slope of G. Slamat (July 1937) from Boemidjawa (Pekalongan Res.).
