Born: 1926, Easton, Pa., U.S.A.

 

career:

Anthropologist, educated in the University of California, Berkeley (A.B. 1950), and in Yale University, New Haven (Ph.D. 1955). Since 1954 in Columbia University, at first Instructor, and subsequently Lecturer in Anthropology.

Author of papers on anthropology, linguistics, and ethnobotany.1

 

Collecting localities:

Philippines Islands. Palawan: Aborlan, Talakaygan, and Kulang-Danum River systems (1947); Mindoro: Mt Yagaw and vicinity, Mansalay (1952-53), partly with Sulit (see there). Mindoro (Dec. 1957-Feb. 1958); N. Luzon, Mountain Prov. (Feb. 1963) with Buwaya.
