Governor of British North Borneo, 1888-95.

Bauhinia creaghi Baker was named after him.


Collecting localities:

1888-95. Br. N. Borneo: along the whole coast from Cowie Harbour to Gaya and Kimanis, e.g. at Sandakan, Port Myburgh, Labuan, Tawau (E. coast), Kinabatangan.



Herb. Kew [K]: 1114 nos from Br. N. Borneo (acq. 1895-96) and a 2nd collection. In Herb. Brit. Mus. [BM]: 462 nos (acq. 1896-97). Some plants described by Hemsley, and Ridley.1
