career:

Economic Botanist, Botanic Gardens, Rabaul (New Britain), in the Bismarck Archipelago, made a study tour through the D.E.I. in July and Nov./Dec. 1934 to acquaint himself with the biological and agricultural work performed there. He was finally Director of Agriculture, Stock and Fisheries, Territory of Papua.

He sent fruits of Parinarium laurinum, and fibres from New Guinea to the Kew Museum [K] in 1936.
