career:

Superintendent of Police, at present Resident of New Guinea, stationed at Hollandia.

Leader of several expeditions in Dutch New Guinea. At the instigation of the Forest Officer L.J. van Dijk (see there), he collected material of forest trees in 1939/40 during an expedition to Swart Valley.
