Joined the National Museum, Philippine National Herbarium, in 1960 as Botany-Aide. From 1963 onwards he accompanied H.G. Gutierrez, D.R. Mendoza, P.A. Cordero, R. del Rosario, M. Jacobs, and E.J. Reynoso on collecting tours in the Philippines. No field numbers of his own.
